Long time no Blog!

It has been too long since I have blogged, I have a goal of updating every week, but last week I did not post my stats. Darn it!

So... I suck.. that is the jist of it. I have not been moving like I should, and I have definitely not been eating like I should. I am getting married next year and I really want to look my best! I for some reason am not motivated to do anything lately! Oh well.. sometimes you just have to get up off your butt and do it instead of looking for the motivation to get things done. I know I can accomplish anything I set my mind to, so I need to get up off my butt!! Making good choices and small changes in lifestyle can really add up over time. I am going to keep on making good choices and move more and I WILL get there!!

Stats:
Weight: 282.4
Chest     49.5
Waist      45
Hips        57
Arm        17
Thigh      30

Well, weight is down a bit, so that is a plus. More later!!

Well...

I have been re-examining things a lot lately with the help of my fantastic fiancee. I am looking at what my long and short term goals for my weight loss and getting healthy are. I am setting new, higher ultimate goals, and also trying to set a few tangible small goals also.

I was talking to the Nels and we were discussing my healthification plans. I in the past have tried to set such ridiculously high and lofty goals, and also accomplish them in fairly extreme ways. Because of this, I am often times setting myself up for failure. I am finding that if I set smaller goals and find more realistic ways of accomplishing them, I am much more likely to succeed.

So.. in realizing this, here are some new goals and new ways to go about accomplishing them.
Long term:
Still going with a goal weight of 145 pounds. I need to lose approx 140 pounds to get there. HALF OF ME!!
Fit in a size 12 or lower

Short term
1: Lose 5 pounds by October 1st.
2: Take a walk 3x's a week
3: Pack my lunch for work to avoid the temptations of the cafeteria

These are a good start for right now. I took a walk with the Nels today, and that was really a lot of fun, and a good start to the walking. Walking is something that I can do, and I actually enjoy doing it. I tried the up and running course online, and I will probably do that later on, but I started it and my sciatica is really acting up. It had been so good for a long time, so I am going back to the lower impact walking.

Milestones

Hitting milestones.. this can be either a good or a bad thing..
I am freaking out because there is a good possiblility if I keep going at the rate I am going that I will hit a milestone I NEVER wanted to.. and this is 300 pounds... I have officially gained 16 pounds since I started this blog and now officially need to lose HALF my body weight to reach my goal... I am not going to lie.. I am freaked out right now! If I don't change things I WILL hit this horrible milestone and I am afraid it will be sooner rather than later. I am going to change the way I think about eating starting immediately. I need to not get to this horrible number.. I need to work my butt off.. Literally.. (and my tummy, arm fat, and thighs!!) Well.. I am going to work out right now so at least I can get a jump on things.

Also.. I need to re-examine my goals.
My goals for this journey are:
Ultimately-Lose 140 pounds. My absolute goal weight is 140-145.
My ultimate size goal is to wear size 12 or smaller.
Short term- Lose the weight I have gained over the last month of eating like crap!! (aka 16pounds... )
Next goal: Lose 25 pounds
Then lose 10% of my weight or 28 lbs
Then: Weigh <250

I need to keep on making these small goals in order to get to my bigger ultimate goal.

SO..
Here is the damage for this week.. (Kinda makes me wanna puke.. not gonna lie!)
Weight: 286.0 I was hoping to never get this heavy...
Bust: 49
Waist: 45
Hips: 55
Upper arm: 16.5
Thigh: 30

Well.. I have a lot of work ahead of me.. but seeing how bad I have gotten may just be the kick in the pants that I need.. I need to get up and work this weight off.. Wish me luck!!

Apparently this has become a weight-GAIN blog...

Ok.. so this has went from a weight loss to a weight gain blog. I have officially surpassed my heaviest recorded weight ever.. This means I really have to get serious about stuff...

Here's the problem...
I started this weight loss blog in the middle of a hiatus from working out and exercising right.. Apparently when I go off of a plan I REALLY go off of it..
Go big or go home I always say.. and I am GOING BIG!!

Also, I just went home to see my family.. and home means FOOD! Lots of food. And good home-cooked food. That is one of my other problems.. I am lazy and don't cook as I should.. maybe if I cooked for myself and Cory at home, I would not eat out so much and also not sow down the home-cooked meals when I can!!

Here are the shameful measurements this week.
Weight- 277.4
Hips-55.5
Waist- 45
Bust- 49
Thigh- 29
Upper arm- 16

Well.. at least I am going back on a plan and can start losing the pounds and inches. I am starting to learn how to run. I am also going to start Weight Watchers this week. Now just have to prove to myself that I can get through SOMETHING without quitting!

Activity...

So.. since Farrell's is done, I have been horrible about exercising. This needs to change and change fast. I am thinking about having my Cory pick out an exercise DVD for me everyday and then just doing it. Having some accountability is important to me to keep on track. Also.. I have a TON of workout DVD's so there are quite a few to choose from and enjoy. I will try to post what I have done and how they were. Here I go! Gotta go get moving!

Number 2..

So.. FYI for anyone out there. When you eat like crap all week, you are bound to gain some weight. And.. oh I did!

Forgive me weight loss for I have sinned! I have been on a healthy eating kick for the past 10 weeks due to my Farrells, but now it is over.. and apparently so is my healthy eating!

I am going back on Weight Watchers starting the 1st full week of September, but I have been enjoying being off my diet! (to some extent...) I have found that I feel SO much better when I am eating better, so it will be nice to get back into the structure of a plan. YAY! And now I have a pretty dress to fit into so that makes a huge difference! :)

Well, lets get to it..
Weight 274.0 (up 3.2 pounds) Sad day...
Hips: 54.5
Waist 44
Bust 48
Thigh 29.75
Bicep 16.5

Well.. I know I need to keep on keeping on.. and eventually this will be a success!!

Here comes the bride!!

So I tried on and ordered my wedding dress on Sunday! Most exciting thing that has happened in a long while. Now having physical motivation should hopefully help with this journey. I am so excited to be a MRS!! exactly 13 months and it will happen! More later.

Ok.. here we go.. First measurements...

So.. since this is a weight loss blog, I suppose there needs to be a starting point.
As any fat girl will tell you, the scale is not my friend, and never has been, so this is not my favorite thing to do.
I guess to see progress we need to see where I am now though, so here we go
(that was a lot of procrastinatious-ness to get to this point)

Starting weight
270.8

Measurements
Waist 43
Hips 54.25
Thigh 30
Upper arm 16.5
Bust 48

Well.. lovely.. Looking forward to seeing these improve!

Lets do this!

So.. to start out I thought that I would explain the purpose of this blog. This will be my weight-loss blog. I know that this concept has definitely been done many times before, by many people and probably done better than this! :) but I need to do this for myself.

I have been reading weight loss blogs and books A LOT lately. And I mean a lot... I have a long term goal of losing 100 pounds, and of course there needs to be some work put in to get there. This is the part I have the most trouble with.. you know.. the work part.

I know that when I write down what I eat  I do better keeping on top of what I put into my body. I am much less likely to eat tons of crappy food if I have to see it in writing! I am hoping by writing here I will be more mindful also of what I do with my body and how this is affecting the size and shape of it.

So.. Lets start blogging it up!!

As I said before, I have a goal of losing 100 pounds.. (actually closer to 115 to get to my ultimate goal weight). It is one of those things.. I have been overweight (I so want to say fat.. but honestly I am trying to get away from this word. My fiancee HATES it when I call myself fat.. but that is a different story.)  my whole life, and I honestly can't say that I truly believe that my goal can be reached. So.. I guess I will have to set mini goals and go pound by pound until I get there.

The background players...
1: MOTIVATION!!
This is the most important thing to have on this whole journey. My philosophy on weight loss is pretty simple. You need something that motivates you and something that you enjoy doing consistently to succeed.
My personal motivation is the fact that I am getting married next September.

2: Goals:
As mentioned before, my ultimate goal is to lose 100 pounds. My goal weight is 160 pounds right now.. OOh.. now you can figure out how much of a fatty I am starting out as! hehe ;)
My other goal is I want to be a "normal sized" bride. I want so badly to be out of plus sizes by the time my wedding rolls around. Dresses are so much cuter for skinny girls!! :)

3: Process:
I am just finishing up a 10 week Farrell's ultimate bodyshaping course next week. We have our final testing next Saturday so I get to see if my work has paid off.. (not going to lie.. I have been HORRIBLE the past 3 weeks. Have been going 2-3 times a week when it is meant to be done 6x's a week). At our 5 week testing I actually GAINED a pound! DARNIT!! I did do 53 pushups though! Who knew I would be able to do any!!

Also, I am going to be starting the up and running online running course this September 5. I have never in my life been able to run, but after seeing that I am actually able to do tough workouts through Farrell's, I wanted to give it a try. This course runs (haha.. bad pun!!) for 8 weeks and concludes with running a full 5K.

After the 8 weeks of learning to run we will see what craziness I come up with to keep moving!

Well.. thats my story in a nutshell... I hope to keep updating the progress of everything at least weekly.
Later!!
